eBay Profit Calculator

Put in one sale and see what is actually left after fees, advertising, shipping, what the item cost you, and anything refunded. It runs in your browser — nothing is sent to us and nothing is stored.

What the buyer paid, including any shipping they paid you.
What you paid for the item. eBay does not know this, so no tool reading eBay can fill it in for you.
Your final value fee plus any fixed per-order charge. We do not prefill a percentage: it varies by marketplace, category, store subscription and programme, and a guess would almost certainly flatter the result. Take it from a recent order.
Promoted Listings, if this sale came from an ad. Leave at zero if it did not.
What the label actually cost you, plus packaging if you count it.
Anything else you want this sale to carry — handling, returns handling, a share of overheads.
Any amount refunded to the buyer. eBay refunds most of its fee on a full refund, so reduce the fee above as well if that applies.

This sale loses money. Check the fee and shipping figures first — those are the two most often guessed low.

Doing this for every order, by hand, in a spreadsheet? Connect your eBay account and Profitio keeps the fees, advertising and refunds up to date on their own — you add product cost and shipping once per product.

Why doesn't this fill in the eBay fee for me?

Because any number we picked would be wrong for a lot of sellers. The final value fee depends on the marketplace, the category, whether you have a store subscription and which programmes you are in — and a default would err on the generous side, which is the wrong direction for a calculator you are using to decide whether something is worth selling. Open a recent order on eBay, read the fee it actually charged, and use that.

How is the margin calculated?

Profit divided by the sale price. That is the figure most sellers mean by margin, and it keeps behaving sensibly when the trade is bad — dividing by profit instead would blow up as profit approached zero and flip sign when the sale lost money.

Is anything I type here saved?

No. The whole calculation runs in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers and nothing is stored — you do not need an account, and we do not learn your margins.
